Midnight Smog is a licensed STAR Certified, test-only smog check facility located in San Marcos, California. We proudly serve San Marcos, Vista, Carlsbad, Oceanside, and the greater North County area. Our station is open late, seven days a week, making the smog check process convenient for working drivers and busy schedules.
Our facility is equipped to test most vehicles, including gasoline vehicles (2000 and newer), 1999 and older vehicles, hybrid vehicles, out-of-state vehicles, and DMV-required renewal smog checks. All smog test results are transmitted electronically to the DMV so you can complete your vehicle registration without delays.
As a STAR Certified test-only station, we are prohibited from performing emissions-related repairs or referring motorists to a specific repair facility. This means you’ll receive an accurate, unbiased inspection with no repair sales pressure. If your vehicle does not pass on the first attempt, we offer a free retest.
Our goal is simple: fast service, fair pricing, and a clean, professional bay that keeps you on the road, legal, and moving forward with your busy schedule.
